Job summary

Epic Piping is seeking a Checker to verify pipe spool drawings against client drawings, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability. You will review project scope, mark up errors, and re-check corrections before shop fabrication.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years in pipe fabrication or construction and proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word; AutoCAD is a plus. Knowledge of ASTM/ASME/PFI codes and welding procedures is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 3 years of experience in pipe fabrication or construction.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word; AutoCAD preferred.
• Familiarity with ASTM/ASME/PFI codes, various metallurgies and NDE/heat treatment/paint/welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review client project scope and specifications.
• Check pipe spool drawings against client drawings, scope and specs for accuracy and manufacturability; mark up errors and re-check corrections.
• Follow department standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Understand shop methods used in fabrication of pipe spools.
