Job summary

Majid Al Futtaim is hiring a Picker for our UAE Express supermarket. You will pick orders from shelves, scan items, and ensure accuracy and expiry date compliance. You will perform quality checks and coordinate with the line manager on any issues to maintain order integrity.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least 2 years in e-commerce or retail operations, and strong English communication. Experience with retail products is a plus, and you will join a dynamic team in a busy store

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in e-commerce operations or retail.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Understanding of quality control checks and retail products.

Responsibilities

• Pick the order by scanning item by item.
• Perform quality checks on all items.
• Ensure items meet expiry date policy.
• Verify and confirm out-of-stock with the section in charge.
• Provide feedback to pickers if wrong items are picked.
• Keep putaway area organized and clear cart usage.
• Report anomalies to the line manager (wrong image, location, system issues).
• Ensure all putaway locations and crates have scannable barcodes.

JOB TITLE

Picker | MAF Retail | Supermarket (Express) UAE

ROLE SUMMARY

The Picker is responsible for consolidating the order from the putaway area’s including picking the order from the shelf in selling area, check expiry date and scan all ordered Items. He/ She should pick according to the company standards and in a productive way. The picker is also responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders picked.

ROLE PROFILE

• Pick the order by scanning item by items.
• Perform quality control checks on all items.
• Ensure that all picked goods / items conform to the expiry date policy.
• Verify and confirm OOS with the section in charge.
• Ensure feedback is provided to the pickers if wrong items are picked or the quality of the product is not as per the standard.
• Ensure the putaway area is organized and all unused trollies and crated are moved to the storage area.
• Report any anomaly to the line manager i.e. wrong product image, wrong location, picking system issue, etc.).
• Ensure all putaway locations and crates have scan able barcodes.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School / Diploma
• 2 years’ experience (Preferably in an E-commerce operations)
• Retail online Business experience is a plus.
• Good English communication skills verbally and in writing
• Good understanding of quality control checks
• Understand retail products
