GEMS World Academy–Dubai (GWA) invites applications for a passionate Physics teacher. The successful candidate will deliver Secondary Physics within an IB framework, contribute to student growth, and engage with a diverse international community.

THE ACADEMY

THE ROLE

Our Science department has transformed student outcomes and succeeded in inspiring a love of learning at GEMS World Academy. This has been achieved through the dedication of staff, their exceptional subject knowledge, and the department’s forward-thinking approach to data and the curriculum. The Science department is highly regarded among our student body for the care and personal support offered to students.

Skills Description

• A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent specialism in Physics
• Advanced qualifications are preferred but not essential
• A minimum of 3 years experience teaching Secondary Physics, ideally within an IB curriculum school, however, this is not mandatory
• A strong understanding of the IB DP framework and Approaches to Teaching is preferred
• A strong desire to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students
• The experience, personality and educational philosophy that aligns with a leading IB World School like GEMS World Academy
• Available to start from January 2027
