The Physics Teacher will support students in developing a secure understanding of physical principles while building the practical, mathematical and analytical skills required for advanced science study. Teaching will combine conceptual explanation with experimentation, quantitative reasoning and scientific enquiry so students can apply Physics to unfamiliar problems rather than rely on memorised procedures. As GEMS Royal Dubai School expands into Year 10 from September 2027 and continues towards Year 13, the postholder will also contribute to the strategic development of Physics within the wider Science curriculum. This includes supporting progression, practical resourcing, assessment design and preparation for future GCSE Combined Science and specialist Physics provision.

  • Recognised teaching qualification suitable for Secondary education.
  • Strong academic background in Physics or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Relevant experience teaching Physics at Secondary level.
  • Secure understanding of National Curriculum for England Science requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of practical Physics and scientific enquiry.
  • Ability to teach mathematical applications confidently within Physics.
  • Experience preparing students for GCSE Science or Physics is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Combined Science curriculum pathways is advantageous.
  • Ability to design practical investigations and manage laboratory activities safely.
