Responsibilities

• Provide professional hair care services, including washing, cutting, trimming, styling, blow-drying, and basic grooming for patients and residents.
• Ensure all hairdressing equipment and tools are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained according to infection prevention standards.
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating grooming appointments for patients and residents.
• Assist patients with grooming needs while maintaining dignity, privacy, and comfort.

The Personal Care Aide provides non-clinical personal care and grooming services to patients and residents, including hair care, haircuts, shaving, nail care, and other wellness-related services. The role supports patient comfort, dignity, and well-being while contributing to an enhanced patient and family experience. The Personal Care Aide works closely with the care team to ensure services are delivered in a safe, respectful, and compassionate manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional hair care services, including hair washing, cutting, trimming, styling, blow-drying, and basic grooming for patients and residents.
• Ensure all hairdressing equipment and tools are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained according to infection prevention and control standards
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating grooming appointments for patients and residents
• Assist patients with grooming needs while maintaining their dignity, privacy, and comfort

Qualifications

• Certificate or training in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Cosmetology, or a related field.
• Previous experience in hairdressing, barbering, nail care, spa, or personal grooming services.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered, and service-oriented approach.
• Ability to work with elderly individuals and patients with special care needs.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and hygiene practices relevant to personal care services.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Preferred

• Experience working in a healthcare, long-term care, rehabilitation, home care, or hospitality setting.
• Basic knowledge of customer service and patient experience principles.
