Responsibilities

• Assist patients with registration, clinic flow, and appointment coordination.
• Escort patients to examination and treatment rooms as required.
• Prepare consultation and examination rooms before and after patient visits.
• Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height and weight.
• Assist nurses and physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
• Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and comfort at all times.
• Clean and disinfect equipment and clinical areas according to infection control standards.
• Stock and replenish medical supplies, linens, and consumables.
• Transport specimens, documents, and equipment within the department when required.
• Assist patients with mobility needs and provide support during investigations or procedures.
• Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the registered nurse or physician.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as delegated.
• Comply with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention protocols.
• Provide patient education materials and direct patients to appropriate services as instructed by clinical staff.

The Healthcare Aide in the Women's OPD supports physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care to women attending outpatient clinics.
