Job summary

Aventus in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to validate scalability, stability, and responsiveness of a high-volume Track & Trace platform. You will focus on performance testing of APIs, databases, messaging systems, and serialization processes.

Responsibilities include designing tests, executing load and stress tests, analyzing bottlenecks, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable platform performance.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of experience in Performance and Non-Functional Testing.

Performance Test Engineer – Track & Trace Platform

Contract Duration: 6 months, with a possible 1–2-month extension

Location: Dubai, UAE (On-site, Monday to Friday)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to validate the scalability, stability, reliability, and responsiveness of a high-volume pharmaceutical Track & Trace platform. The role will focus on performance testing of APIs, integrations, databases, messaging systems, and business-critical serialization and regulatory processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute performance testing strategies, plans, workload models, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform load, stress, endurance, scalability, spike, volume, and failover testing.
• Validate performance of APIs, web applications, middleware, databases, message queues, and batch-processing systems.
• Analyze throughput, response times, resource utilization, database performance, and system bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, infrastructure, and QA teams to resolve performance issues.
• Prepare performance reports, bottleneck analysis, and capacity planning recommendations.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and maintain reusable test assets.

Required Skills & Experience

4-6+ years of experience in Performance and Non-Functional Testing. Hands-on experience with JMeter, K6, Load Runner, Azure Load Testing, or similar tools. Strong experience testing REST APIs, web applications, middleware, message queues, and batch-processing systems. Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, App Dynamics, Splunk, or Azure Monitor. Good understanding of SQL, database performance analysis, workload modeling, and capacity planning. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Pharmaceutical serialization or Track & Trace platforms.
• Knowledge of GS1, EPCIS, SAP ATTP, Trace Link, or similar solutions.
• Experience with Kafka, Rabbit MQ, Azure Service Bus, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Experience integrating performance testing into Dev Ops and CI/CD pipelines.
