Qualifications

• 5–7 years post-board consultant experience in pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery.
• Strong expertise in pediatric reconstructive and cosmetic procedures.
• Excellent surgical, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired pediatric plastic and reconstructive conditions.
• Perform pediatric plastic surgery procedures including cleft lip/palate repair and craniofacial reconstruction.
• Evaluate and manage pediatric trauma and complex reconstructive cases.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for pediatric plastic surgery patients.
• Collaborate with craniofacial surgeons, neurosurgeons, ENT, orthopedics, dermatology, and teams.
• Develop individualized treatment and postoperative rehabilitation plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, risks, and care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation per DOH Abu Dhabi regulations.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and CME programs.
• Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection control, and quality standards.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon to join a leading children's healthcare hospital in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide specialized surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital, traumatic, and acquired deformities while delivering evidence-based and patient-centered treatment in a multidisciplinary pediatric environment.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in advanced reconstructive and cosmetic pediatric plastic surgery procedures and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal functional and aesthetic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired pediatric plastic and reconstructive conditions.

Perform pediatric plastic surgery procedures including cleft lip and palate repair, craniofacial reconstruction, hand surgery, burn reconstruction, scar revision, and soft tissue reconstruction.

Evaluate and manage pediatric trauma and complex reconstructive surgical cases.

Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for pediatric plastic surgery patients.

Collaborate with craniofacial surgeons, neurosurgeons, ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, dermatologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Develop individualized treatment and postoperative rehabilitation plans for pediatric patients.

Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and postoperative care.

Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations and hospital policies.

Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and continuing medical education programs.

Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
• Board Certification / Fellowship in Plastic Surgery with subspecialty experience in Pediatric Plastic Surgery.
• Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Plastic Surgery.
• Minimum 5-7 years of post-board consultant experience in pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery within a tertiary care or academic hospital.
• Strong expertise in pediatric reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures.
• Excellent surgical, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in cleft and craniofacial multidisciplinary programs.
• Exposure to pediatric microsurgery and complex reconstructive procedures.
• Academic and research experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment.
