Role Description

This is a full-time, Community Pediatric Occupational Therapist role based in Dubai. The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will assess infants and children to identify developmental, sensory, and functional needs, and design individualized treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include providing one-on-one therapy sessions, implementing sensory integration and early intervention strategies, and tracking progress through accurate documentation. The role involves collaborating with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to support functional independence in areas such as play, self-care, and school readiness. The therapist will also participate in family education, contribute to interdisciplinary case discussions, and uphold clinical standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Must be comfortable to work within family homes and in the wider community settings. This is not a role in a centre or clinic. Demonstrated proficiency in Occupational Therapy practices with children, including Pediatrics and Early Intervention. Strong skills in Sensory Integration and working with children in diverse developmental stages. Relevant degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution and current professional licensure or eligibility for licensure in Dubai. Experience in pediatric clinical or home healthcare settings, preferably within multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to educate and guide families and caregivers. Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation, follow evidence-based protocols, and manage a structured caseload. Cultural competence and willingness to work with families from varied backgrounds. CPR/First Aid certification and ongoing commitment to professional development are considered an advantage.
