Job Overview

Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist – GI Care in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior hospital and health care opportunity for an American Board-certified physician with expertise in pediatric gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders. The role is suited for an Arabic-speaking consultant who can deliver advanced pediatric GI care, perform endoscopic procedures, and provide compassionate family-centered treatment for infants, children, and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage pediatric gastrointestinal, hepatology, pancreatic, and nutrition-related disorders in infants, children, and adolescents.
• Treat conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, GERD, chronic abdominal pain, constipation, liver diseases, feeding difficulties, and other pediatric GI concerns.
• Perform pediatric gastroenterology procedures including endoscopy, colonoscopy, and other diagnostic or therapeutic GI interventions within approved clinical scope.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, nutritional management strategies, and follow-up pathways based on patient needs and clinical findings.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, surgeons, dietitians, nurses, anesthetists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe and coordinated care.
• Provide clear education to patients and families regarding gastrointestinal health, treatment options, medication use, nutrition, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure documentation reflects international clinical standards and facility protocols.
• Participate in departmental quality initiatives, case reviews, clinical audits, research activity, and continuing medical education.
• Support service improvement in pediatric gastroenterology through evidence-based practice and practical clinical leadership.
• Communicate effectively in Arabic and English with families, caregivers, and healthcare teams when discussing diagnosis, procedures, and care plans.
