Education/Qualification
  1. Basic medical degree from recognized institution
  2. Post‑qualification certification
    • Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
      • USA: American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
      • Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPC)
      • UK and Ireland: GMC/CCST Specialist Register
      • Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP)
Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience post‑board/equivalent certification in Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland (CCST), United Kingdom (CCT) Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden OR Switzerland,
    • Sub‑Specialties: Minimum of two (2) years of experience post‑sub‑specialty certification in Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, or the UK.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience after obtaining the main specialty qualification in United Kingdom (CESR) Portugal, Spain, or Italy
    • Sub‑Specialties: Minimum of four (4) years of experience after obtaining the sub‑specialty qualification in Portugal, Spain, or Italy.
License
  • Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage children with a wide range of neurological disorders, including epilepsy, neuromuscular conditions, neurodevelopmental disorders, and neurogenetic diseases.
  • Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests such as EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, and neuroimaging.
  • Develop individualized care plans including medical management, rehabilitation, and supportive therapies.
  • Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, rehabilitation teams, and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Lead multidisciplinary clinics and case discussions for complex neurological conditions.
  • Provide perioperative neurological consultation and follow‑up when required.
  • Supervise, teach, and mentor residents, fellows, and junior staff in pediatric neurology.
  • Participate in clinical research, audits, and quality improvement projects.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, ethical practice, and compliance with hospital policies and UAE regulations.
  • Educate patients and families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
