Job summary

KINGS COLLEGE HOSPITAL DUBAI is seeking a Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll processes in a healthcare setting. You will process payroll, update employee data, and ensure accurate costing and post-payroll activities.

The role requires strict confidentiality and collaboration with the team to meet stringent regulatory and audit requirements. You will handle staff inquiries, maintain payroll documentation, and generate management reports using Excel and Oracle Fusion.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Payroll officer, 2–3 years or more, healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

Job description

  • Responsible for processing and execution of payroll administration.
  • Maintain and track all payroll changes and execute them in the system.
  • Perform costing reconciliation with payroll and complete all post-payroll related processes.
  • Ensure all payments are made in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Employee information & benefits

  • Maintain employee information, benefits, work structures, leave accruals, and adjustments in the system for reporting purposes.
  • Respond to staff inquiries concerning pay and related matters, including employee exit.

Documentation & compliance

  • Maintain supporting payroll documentation and authorizations for internal and external audit.
  • Work in collaboration with team members while ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity.

Reporting & analysis

  • Develop reports to meet management requests and needs for people practices-related information.

  • Education & Qualification

Experience

  • Working as Payroll officer for 2-3 yrs and above (Healthcare - Preferred)
  • Work experience in Oracle fusion
  • Experience in and Sound Accounting knowledge
  • Strong expertise in Excel.

Training, Knowledge & Skills

  • Awareness and understanding of KCH policies and KCH initiatives.
  • Possesses a good grasp of medical terminology, enabling accurate communication, documentation, and coordination within a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Supports and guides junior team members, offering advice and assistance if required.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and discretion, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to manage digital documentation and communication effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and stakeholders.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong internal work standards; sets realistic goals for self and supports others in achieving team objectives.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, ensuring goals are met in dynamic environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage unexpected issues and identify when to elevate.
  • Maintains professional and personal credibility across all staff groups.
