JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY
The Officer – Payroll & Benefits Administration supports the accurate and timely administration of employee payroll, compensation, benefits, attendance, leave, deductions, and end-of-service transactions.
The role is responsible for collecting, validating, recording, and processing payroll-related information in accordance with approved policies, procedures, employment terms, and UAE labour requirements. The position also supports compensation and benefits administration while maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of employee information.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Payroll Processing and Administration
- Collect, consolidate, and validate monthly payroll inputs.
- Process attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions, salary adjustments, and employee transactions.
- Conduct payroll checks and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare payroll documentation and supporting schedules.
- Maintain payroll records and support payroll audits.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders on payroll-related matters.
Compensation and Benefits Administration
- Support compensation and benefits administration activities.
- Process salary adjustments, allowances, incentives, and benefits transactions.
- Maintain employee benefits records and eligibility information.
- Assist with compensation reports, salary reviews, and benchmarking exercises.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
Attendance and Leave Administration
- Monitor attendance records and identify discrepancies.
- Process annual leave, sick leave, unpaid leave, leave encashment, and other leave transactions.
- Prepare attendance, absence, and leave balance reports.
- Coordinate with employees and managers to resolve attendance-related issues.
Employee Records and Data Management
- Maintain accurate employee payroll and HR records.
- Ensure payroll-impacting transactions are properly documented and approved.
- Support onboarding, employee movements, salary changes, and separation processes.
- Protect confidential employee and payroll information.
Employee Separation and Final Settlement Support
- Support final settlement calculations and processing.
- Coordinate clearance and employee exit documentation.
- Prepare settlement schedules and supporting documentation.
Employee Support and Query Resolution
- Act as the first point of contact for routine payroll and benefits inquiries.
- Provide accurate information regarding payslips, deductions, leave balances, and benefits.
- Track and resolve employee requests in a timely manner.
Compliance, Reporting and Process Support
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, internal controls, and UAE labour requirements.
- Prepare payroll, attendance, benefits, and HR reports.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Diploma or Higher Diploma may be considered with relevant experience.
- Professional certification in Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, or Accounting is an advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in Payroll Administration, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with HRIS, Payroll Systems, ERP platforms, or Employee Self-Service Systems is preferred.
- UAE-based experience and familiarity with UAE Labour Law will be an advantage.
