Equiti Group in Sharjah, UAE, is seeking a payments officer to join the Retail Operations team. The role focuses on processing deposits and withdrawals across multiple systems, handling customer inquiries, and collaborating with sales to deliver optimal payment solutions.

You will perform AML checks, liaise with banks/PSPs, and manage confidential information with care. A bachelor’s degree and English proficiency are required, with 2+ years in financial services preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2+ years in financial services or payments.
• Excellent written and spoken English with professional client communication.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits and withdrawals through banks, e-wallets, cards, and PSPs.
• Respond to client payment queries via phone and email (Zendesk).
• Liaise withSales to offer optimal payment solutions to clients.
• Provide guidance on using client portals for deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
• Perform AML checks and fraud screening on transactions.
• Coordinate with banks/PSPs to investigate missing payments or anomalies.
• Handle confidential information per data protection standards.
• Report technical errors and ensure timely follow-up.

Payments Officer in our office in Sharjah, UAE.

Responsibilities

• Processing all deposits transactions through various systems (Banks, E-Banking, E-Wallets, Cards, other PSPs)
• Processing all withdrawals transactions through various systems (Banks, E-Banking, E-Wallets, Cards, other PSPs)
• Processing other transactions including (adjustments, indemnifications, and credits).
• Assisting and responding to client’s payment related queries over the phone and through emails (Zendesk)
• Liaising with the Sales team to provide clients with the best payment solution available.
• Able to provide adequate information about the available Payment Providers and solutions.
• Provide the clients guidance on how to use client’s portal to deposit, withdraw or do an internal transfer between account.
• Compliance, Risk, and fraud checks - Carrying out various identification checks to comply with anti-money-laundering regulations.
• Liaising with banks and PSPs to investigate missing payments or anomalies.
• Handling confidential information in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
• Report Technical errors and follow up on them.

Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of professional experience, preferably in financial services.
• Excellent level of written and spoken English .
• Highly proficient user of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
