Job summary

Minor International is a global hospitality group seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to lead the pastry section at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort. You will develop and execute pastry concepts, supervise the Commis Pastry team, and ensure high-quality, safe pastry offerings that align with brand standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of pastry and bakery production.
• Ability to manage an assigned pastry section independently.
• Skilled in recipe execution, portion control, and maintaining quality standards.
• Knowledge of pastry equipment and proper storage procedures.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and allergen control.
• Ability to supervise and guide Commis Pastry team members.
• Creativity and strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to support the pastry team.
• Food Safety or Food Handler Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform all activities within a Restaurant Kitchen area, ensuring safe, smooth operation.
• Support development of Restaurant concepts and standards.
• Be familiar with local market & suppliers.
• Recommend menu changes according to seasonal availability.
• Adhere to food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure quality offerings.
• Maintain food safety & protection.
• Maintain outlet safety and asset management of all outlet property.
• Participate in departmental training to improve skills and service levels.
• Promote positive inter-departmental relations through communication and cooperation.
• Maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
