Job summary

Sunset Hospitality Group in Dubai is seeking skilled Pastry Commis Chefs at Levels 1, 2 and 3 to join our lifestyle brands. You will support the preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries and bakery items in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Ideal candidates have culinary or pastry training or relevant experience, with knowledge of plated pastries and high attention to detail. UAE/GCC experience is advantageous and teamwork is essential for success in our diverse venues.

Qualifications

• Must have culinary or pastry training or relevant pastry experience.
• Experience in restaurant, hotel, bakery or pastry kitchen is preferred.
• Knowledge of plated desserts, pastries, creams, cakes or bakery prep.
• Experience in upscale, fine-dining or high-volume operation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare desserts, pastries, creams, sauces and bakery products.
• Follow approved recipes, measurements and presentation standards.
• Complete pastry mise en place accurately and on time.
• Support senior pastry chefs during preparation and service.
• Maintain consistent flavour, texture and presentation.
• Monitor ingredient freshness, labelling, storage and stock rotation.
• Assist with portion control and waste reduction.
• Maintain a clean, organised pastry section.
• Follow HACCP, hygiene and food-safety requirements.
• Support other pastry tasks when required.
