Job summary

Dune Strategy is a Dubai-based management consulting firm seeking an associate who will own day-to-day partner relationships across media owners, networks, publishers, and demand partners. This permanent, fully remote role reports to clients' engagement leads and offers exposure to senior partners while aligning on pacing, terms and reporting across time zones.

The ideal candidate has a pragmatic mindset, strong English writing, and comfort with incomplete information, ready to build briefing

Responsibilities

• Map the partner landscape for each engagement: media owners, networks, publishers, affiliates and DSPs.
• Manage day-to-day relationships: rate discussions, pacing, reporting, escalations.
• Prepare briefing material: performance summaries, spend breakdowns, channel comparisons.
• Keep paid-click reporting accurate and current; flag underperformance early.
• Track commercial terms across agreements and renewals.
• Draft partner updates: what changed, why, and recommended next steps.

About the role

You will work with media owners, ad networks, publishers and demand partners across the region, and you will own the day-to-day of those relationships: the terms, the pacing, the reporting, and the conversations when a campaign is underperforming or a partner wants a better rate.

This is a permanent, full-time role, fully remote, working from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. You will report into the partners leading client engagements, and much of your week runs on your own schedule across partner time zones.

Dune Strategy is a management consulting firm based in Dubai, advising international investors, family groups and sovereign-linked entities on commercial decisions in the region. The firm keeps a deliberately small portfolio of active engagements so that senior partners stay close to the work, and the output is always a position a client can act on. Much of what we do around paid demand runs on the strength of partner relationships and a current reading of what the market is charging and delivering.

What you will do

• Map the partner landscape for each engagement: media owners, networks, publishers, affiliates and demand-side platforms, and who controls inventory and pricing.
• Run the day-to-day relationship with existing partners: rate discussions, campaign pacing, creative and tracking requirements, reporting cycles and escalations.
• Assemble briefing material for partners and clients, including performance summaries, spend breakdowns and channel comparisons that a commercial reader can follow in one pass.
• Keep the paid-click reporting accurate and current, flagging underperformance early rather than at the end of a quarter.
• Track commercial terms across agreements, so the firm knows what has been committed, what renews and where the margin sits.
• Write the short note a partner uses in a client conversation: what changed, why it changed, and what we recommend.

What we are looking for

• A working grasp of how paid-click demand works: bidding, placements, tracking and the metrics that partners report on.
• Experience of some kind in a commercial or partner-facing role, from an internship, a junior position, a family business or a sales support job. We are hiring at associate level.
• Writing that holds up under a client's eye: clear, short, and free of padding.
• Comfort with incomplete information, and the judgment to ask the one question that resolves it.
• A pragmatic streak. Partners cancel, budgets move, and terms get renegotiated. You stay steady and keep the relationship intact.
• A good command of English. Clear communication with partners and colleagues is central to the work.

Helpful background

• An interest in finance, economics or commercial strategy, whether from study or self-directed reading.
• Familiarity with ad platforms, analytics tools or a media agency environment.
• Arabic or another regional language.
• Prior research work: market mapping, competitor tracking or supplier analysis.
• Exposure to sector work in retail, real estate, financial services or public-sector-adjacent clients.

What success looks like

After a year, you should be running your own partner briefings without a partner in the room. You will know which partners deliver and which ones talk well, and you will spot the commercial call early enough that the firm can act on it. Partners will ask for you by name when a rate needs resetting or a relationship needs repairing. You will be trusted with a counterparty, which in this firm is the measure of whether someone is ready for more.
