Dune Strategy, a Dubai-based management consulting firm, seeks a Junior Market Research Analyst to support live engagements. The role is permanent, full-time, and hybrid from Dubai. You will turn scattered information into actionable insights for partners, with emphasis on careful sourcing and written analysis.
We value clear thinking, concise writing, and genuine curiosity about how investors and businesses make decisions in the Gulf region. Arabic helps but is not required.
Dune Strategy is a management consulting firm based in Dubai. We advise international investors, family groups, and sovereign-linked entities on the commercial decisions that define their position across the GCC, from market entry and regional expansion to complex transactions and joint ventures. Our work rests on a current reading of the market: how family ownership dynamics, regulatory shifts, and sovereign capital priorities actually influence outcomes. We keep a deliberately small portfolio of active engagements so that partners stay involved in the commercial conversations where decisions take shape. That means a junior analyst here sits close to the work rather than at a distance from it. We are hiring a Junior Market Research Analyst to support that effort, on a permanent, full-time basis, working hybrid from Dubai.
You will spend most of your time turning scattered, incomplete information into something a partner can use in a live commercial conversation. Some days that means tracing ownership structures through filings and public records. Other days it means building a short brief on a regulatory path that has just changed, or writing up what a counterparty's recent moves suggest about their priorities.
In practice, the work looks like this:
We care more about how you think than what you have already done. This is an entry-level role, so we are not looking for a long track record. We are looking for someone who reads carefully, reasons from evidence, and writes plainly.
You might be finishing a degree, recently graduated, or a year or two into your first role. What matters is that the subject matter interests you. Coursework or independent reading in finance, economics, politics, or international relations tends to be a good signal, as does any research, writing, or analysis you have done for a student publication, internship, or personal project.
Familiarity with company filings, financial statements, or regional policy would help you settle in faster. Familiarity with spreadsheets and presentation tools will be useful day to day. None of this is a checklist. If you have strong reasoning and writing and are interested in the subject, we would rather read your work than your transcript.
This is a chance to learn how complex markets actually operate, not how they are described in textbooks. You will work alongside partners who stay involved in the commercial detail, and you will see how a position gets built from raw research into a recommendation that leadership can act on. Over time, that exposure builds strategic fluency: an instinct for what matters in a deal and what is noise.
The role is permanent and full-time, hybrid, based in Dubai, so you will have time in the office with the team and time to work on longer research tasks without interruption. Engagement cycles are short enough that you will see the outcome of your work, and the firm is comfortable being measured on results.
We are small by design. A limited number of active engagements means people are not spread thin, and it means your research reaches the person making the call. We are direct with each other and with clients. Feedback comes early and in plain language, and good work gets used rather than filed. If you want to build a career around understanding how commercial decisions get made in this region, and you are willing to do the careful groundwork that makes those decisions possible, you will find the work here worth your time.
