Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East is seeking an experienced Consultant in Pain Management in the UAE to join a leading healthcare provider in Al Ain. The role involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and multimodal treatment of acute and chronic pain to improve patient quality of life.

You will lead interventional procedures, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, educate patients, and contribute to clinical audits and CME activities while ensuring documentation in line with regulatory

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Completion of an accredited Residency in Anesthesiology, PM&R, Neurology, or related specialty.
• Fellowship or Subspecialty Certification in Pain Management/Pain Medicine.
• Board Certification in the relevant specialty and Pain Management.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using pharmacological, interventional, and non-pharmacological pain management techniques.
• Perform pain management procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation, joint injections, and image-guided interventions when appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on pain management strategies, options, and lifestyle modifications.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal pain control and functional improvement.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and CME activities.
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians and allied healthcare professionals where applicable.
