Job summary

Qualifications

• Supports and implements hospital policies and procedures.
• Leads and participates in performance management and staffing reviews.
• Ensures adequate medical coverage in the Division.
• Attends divisional meetings.
• Assists division chief in recruitment of medical staff.
• Acts on administrative and clinical duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and treats patients according to established best practice.
• Oversees clinical activities of junior medical staff.
• Complies with hospital policies on admissions, care, and procedures.
• Leads ward rounds and reassesses inpatients and outpatients.
• Documents relevant clinical information clearly and timely.
• Reviews investigations and adjusts treatment as required.
• Liaises with other specialties and supports multidisciplinary input.
• Obtains informed consent and prepares patients for procedures.
