Job summary

Gulbahar Tobacco International Fze is seeking a Packing Machine Operator in Dubai to set up, operate, and maintain tobacco packing machines. You will ensure high-quality output, run at full capacity, and collaborate with QC to address quality issues.

The role requires 4–5 years in cigarette production and detailed knowledge of FO CKE-350/550-KS-QS equipment. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years minimum experience in cigarette production & machine operation.
• Functional knowledge and use of Machine Operating (FOCKE-350/550-KS-QS/GDX1, X2, X3, X6/HLP2-5).
• Associate’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (speed and functions).
• Feed raw material to semi-automated machines.
• Perform testing to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift.
• Feed information on speed, shapes and sizes through the setup box.
• Calibrate machines at the start and end of each shift.
• Monitor machines to ensure optimum running throughout procedures.
• Inform maintenance to troubleshoot problems during operation.
• Perform safety checks on each machine.
• Ensure quality production through periodic checks of output.
• Keep stock of materials to prevent shortages.
• Load prepared commodities into depot locations.
• Maintain daily production totals in reports.
• Coordinate with QC for quality issues and charts.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Job description

Job Role:

Packing Machine Operators set up, operate, and maintain machinery. They are responsible for ensuring the machine produces high-quality products. Runs smoothly and at capacity. Candidates with functional knowledge of Packing Machine technology (FOCKE-350/550-KS-QS/ GDX1, X2, X3, X6/HLP2-5) only can apply

Main Responsibilities:

• Setting up machines to start a production cycle
• Controlling and adjusting machine settings (e.g., Speed, other Functions & work)
• Feeding raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
• Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during the production procedures.
• Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift.
• Feed information akin to speed, shapes and sizes through the machine setup box.
• Calibrate machines at the beginning of each shift.
• Recalibrate machines at the end of each shift.
• Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running.
• Inform the maintenance team to troubleshoot problems during machine operation.
• Perform safety checks on every machine.
• Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output.
• Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times so as to avoid shortages during production.
• Load and place the prepared commodities in appropriate depot locations.
• Maintaining a report of the total measure of goods manufactured per day.
• Coordinate with the QC team for any kind of quality issues and fulfill the quality chart given to the machine with honesty.
• Perform other tasks and accountabilities as assigned by the line manager.

People Management:

• Technical/Operative Improvement and satisfaction in the production
• Be supportive with another Technician/Operator and keep in communication with them.
• Prepare the daily activities report to share with the Line Manager

Compliance and Risk Management::

• Be proactive at all times while on shift and make sure no hazards in the Production line.
• Ensure that all machines are set up and functioning properly.
• Able to plan, organize, and deliver results in time to meet deadlines.
• Make sure to follow the health and safety guidelines.
