Job summary

Confidential Company in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced production leader for cigarette manufacturing operations. The candidate must have extensive, proven experience in cigarette manufacturing and hands-on familiarity with cigarette equipment and lines.

Responsibilities include planning production, meeting targets, leading teams, maintaining GMP and safety standards, monitoring OEE, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Job description

Candidates from general FMCG, food, packaging, tobacco trading, or other manufacturing industries without substantial cigarette manufacturing experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee complete cigarette manufacturing operations.

• Plan and control daily, weekly and monthly production activities.

• Ensure achievement of production targets, efficiency and productivity.

• Manage cigarette manufacturing lines, machinery and production processes.

• Monitor machine performance, downtime, production losses and OEE.

• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Engineering and Procurement departments.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, SOPs, GMP and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Control raw material consumption, production wastage and manufacturing costs.

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce losses.

• Lead, train and manage production personnel and supervisors.

• Prepare and monitor production reports, KPIs and performance indicators.

• Ensure proper implementation of health, safety and environmental requirements.

• Troubleshoot production-related issues and coordinate corrective actions.

• Maintain smooth and uninterrupted factory operations.

Preferred Technical Experience

Candidates with hands-on experience with cigarette manufacturing equipment and production lines, including machines such as HLP, SASIB, Mark 9, AMF and related cigarette-making and packing equipment, will be preferred.
