Job summary

Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Operations Systems Specialist to oversee administration, configuration, implementation, and continuous improvement of critical operational systems for airport and passenger services. You will liaise with stakeholders, ground handling partners, and technology teams to meet regulatory and business needs, focusing on self-service and terminal operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute project activities and deliverables in support of company and departmental initiatives.
• Coordinate and support the deployment of self-service technology solutions across the network.
• Conduct system testing and elevate defects to ensure timely resolution.
• Manage system configurations, parameters, and outputs to ensure accuracy, safety, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business requirements.
• Perform system assessments, identify operational risks, and implement mitigation measures to prevent service disruptions and errors.
• Develop and maintain user guides, process documentation, and training materials for implemented systems.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational and system-related issues, escalating where necessary.
• Provide functional support and respond to internal and external stakeholder inquiries.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, user adoption, and operational outcomes across the network.

Job Description

The OperationsSystems Specialist is responsible for the administration, configuration, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational systems that support Etihad's airport and passenger services operations. The role acts as a key liaison between operational stakeholders, ground handling partners, and technology teams to ensure systems are configured and maintained to meet business, regulatory, and operational requirements. The incumbent supports system enhancements, system and technology deployments across stations, process optimization initiatives, testing activities, and the deployment of new functionality across the network. By managing operational system changes, resolving issues, maintaining documentation, and driving continuous improvement, the Operations System Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring efficient, reliable, and customer-focused airport operations while supporting strategic business objectives and industry best practices. This role is predominantly for Self Service and other supplementary systems used for the terminal operations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ operational experience in airline and/or ground handling operations.
• On-the-job DCS training.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage system configurations and deployments.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• Subject matter expertise in departure control and/or reservations systems.
• Working understanding of system integration with airline operational workflows.
