Job summary

SGS seeks an Assistant Operations Manager - OGC to lead operational performance management across marine and terminal inspection activities in the UAE. You will drive KPI governance, capacity planning, and productivity optimization while ensuring quality and cost control across multiple teams.

The role requires 8–12 years of Oil & Chemicals operations experience, strong leadership of supervisors, and a track record in cross-terminal resource allocation and performance improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Marine Studies or related discipline.
• 8–12+ years in Oil & Gas Chemicals operations (marine terminal, bunker, or inspection).
• Proven experience managing Supervisors or leading multi-team operational structures.
• Strong background in KPI management, workforce planning, and cost control.
• Experience in multi-terminal or multi-location operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operational Performance Leadership: review weekly KPIs, lead Delivery Review meetings, drive corrective actions, balance workload.
• Strategic Capacity & Resource Planning: forecast manpower, govern Inspector Capability Matrix, allocate cross-terminal resources.
• Productivity & Cost Optimization: monitor cost per job, reduce non-billable hours, optimize planning for margins.
• Field Governance & Quality Oversight: conduct field audits, ensure OI/HSE compliance, address root causes of CARs.
• Delivery Governance & Reporting: maintain dashboards, present monthly performance, ensure alignment with revenue targets.
