Role Context
The Production Operations Supervisor is responsible for maintaining operational excellence across gas processing facilities by supporting plant teams with technical guidance, process optimization, and performance monitoring. The role strengthens production continuity, safety compliance and operational efficiency by coordinating with maintenance, supply chain, planning and technical departments to achieve production targets and reliability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical instructions and operational guidance to plant teams for resolving production issues and optimizing operating conditions.
- Review plant performance data, laboratory analysis and operational trends to identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and improve operating procedures for existing plants and new modifications to ensure safe startup and integration across departments.
- Monitor compliance with process safety requirements, environmental standards and integrity KPIs while reporting any deviations.
- Develop operating windows for critical equipment and systems to maintain plant efficiency, reliability and safety.
- Participate in HAZOP studies, SIL reviews, risk assessments, Root Cause Analysis and PTW audits with high‑quality technical input.
- Coordinate with Maintenance teams for safe execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Liaise with Supply Chain for chemicals, catalysts and operational consumables to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Coordinate with Production Planning teams for production targets, turnaround schedules and shutdown planning.
- Work closely with Technical teams, licensors and vendors for troubleshooting, process optimisation and operational improvements.
- Support minor and major shutdown planning, project execution and commissioning of new equipment.
- Participate in reliability improvement programmes including alarm management reviews, abnormality reporting and failure investigations.
- Review specialised reports and recommend improvements related to safety, energy efficiency, operational convenience and cost optimisation.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Production Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant production operations experience in gas processing plants or large industrial operations.
- At least 5 years in a supervisory role within production or plant operations.
- Strong understanding of gas processing systems, plant operations and process optimisation techniques.
- Experience with shutdown planning, commissioning and operational troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of process safety management, HAZOP, SIL and plant integrity compliance.
- Strong coordination skills across maintenance, technical, planning and supply chain departments.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and decision‑making abilities.
