Job summary

• Proven experience within Airline Operations, with strong specialization in the Operations Control domain (mandatory).
• Experience supporting business-critical operational systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary business SME and focal point for Operations Control Systems, interfaces, and supporting applications.
• Monitor system performance and provide regular reporting on service levels, risks, compliance status, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead incident management, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and post-incident reviews.
• Assess, validate, and support system changes, releases, configurations, and readiness activities.
• Maintain oversight of system interfaces, data flows, reference data, and downstream dependencies.
• Investigate and resolve system, interface, and data discrepancies with IT, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Administer user access controls and reviews in line with security and compliance requirements.
• Support audits and compliance by providing system evidence and remediation actions.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation opportunities, and process optimisation.
• Evaluate and prioritise system enhancements based on value, safety, risk, cost, and impact.
• Develop system standards, training frameworks, knowledge management, and user adoption strategies.

At Etihad, we are looking for an experienced Operations Control Systems Specialist to enhance the value, usability, and resilience of our Operations Control Systems. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring operational continuity by managing system configurations, enabling new capabilities, supporting users, and facilitating the rapid integration of operational technologies.

Working closely with operational teams, technology stakeholders, and external vendors, you will help drive innovation, efficiency, and strategic alignment across our Operations Control environment.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As the subject matter expert for Operations Control Systems, you will:

• Serve as the primary business SME and operational focal point for Operations Control Systems, system interfaces, and supporting applications.
• Monitor system performance and provide regular reporting on service levels, risks, compliance status, and improvement opportunities to senior operational and technology stakeholders.
• Lead operational support activities, including incident management, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and post-incident reviews.
• Assess, validate, and support system changes, releases, configurations, and operational readiness activities.
• Maintain oversight of system interfaces, data flows, reference data, and downstream operational dependencies.
• Investigate and resolve system, interface, and data discrepancies in collaboration with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Administer user access controls, permissions, and access reviews in line with security and compliance requirements.
• Support audits and compliance activities by providing system evidence, documentation, and remediation actions where required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and process optimisation to enhance operational effectiveness and decision-making.
• Evaluate, prioritise, and recommend system enhancements based on operational value, safety, risk, cost, and business impact.
