1. Apiary Operations
- Assist beekeepers during routine hive inspections.
- Prepare hive boxes, frames, supers, feeders, and beekeeping equipment.
- Support colony management activities, including feeding, hive maintenance, and seasonal preparations.
- Assist with queen rearing and colony splitting activities under the supervision of the Beekeeper or Apiary Consultant.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of apiary work areas.
2. Hive Transportation
- Assist in loading and unloading beehives during seasonal migration.
- Secure hives for safe transportation.
- Position hives correctly at new apiary locations.
- Prepare transportation equipment and tools.
- Ensure minimal stress to bee colonies during movement.
3. Honey Harvesting
- Assist in removing honey supers from hives.
- Transport harvested honey safely to the processing facility.
- Clean harvesting tools and equipment.
- Support extraction preparations and post-harvest apiary activities.
- Handle beeswax and other hive products according to operational procedures.
4. Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Clean and maintain beekeeping tools and protective equipment.
- Assist with minor repairs of hive boxes, frames, stands, and fencing.
- Report damaged equipment to the Plant Supervisor.
- Maintain apiary storage areas in a clean and organized condition.
5. Health, Safety & Biosecurity
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all field activities.
- Follow safe bee handling procedures to minimize risks to employees and bee colonies.
- Support implementation of biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of pests and diseases.
- Immediately report bee sting incidents, damaged colonies, or unsafe conditions.
- Follow emergency response procedures when required.
6. Organic Compliance
- Support compliance with UAE Organic and EU Organic standards.
- Follow approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for apiary operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment to prevent contamination.
- Assist with traceability and operational record keeping when required.
7. Operational Support
- Assist with preparing apiary sites before seasonal operations.
- Support inventory counts of apiary equipment and consumables.
- Assist in loading and unloading operational materials.
- Perform other field-related duties assigned by the Plant Supervisor.
8. Continuous Improvement
- Participate in training programs related to beekeeping and apiary operations.
- Suggest practical improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support implementation of new technologies and sustainable beekeeping practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
Role Requirements
- High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in agriculture, beekeeping, livestock, or outdoor field operations is preferred.
- Basic understanding of safe manual handling and outdoor work.
- Physically fit and able to work in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn professional beekeeping techniques.
Other Professional Certifications

Special Conditions
- Daily outdoor work in apiaries under varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and transport hive boxes, equipment, and materials safely.
- Availability to work extended hours during honey harvesting seasons and seasonal hive migration.
- Regular travel between Al Faya apiary locations and the honey processing facility.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in close proximity to live bee colonies.
