Job summary

AimGulf in Dubai seeks a Medical Coder to assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments to support billing and accurate records.

You will follow SOPs, verify demographics, and ensure EMR/claim entries are complete and compliant. Collaboration with clinicians and front desk is essential to maintain accurate coding and billing flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Diploma in medical discipline or related fields.
• CPC - Certified Professional Coder (AAPC) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Follow the mandatory SOP, checklist and relevant payer and coding guidelines.
• Check demographic details of patients and ensure front desk selects proper regulatory policy.
• Enter proper documentation in EMR/Chart/Claim forms by doctors.
• Provide supporting details/justification in EMR for investigations.
• Verify CPT codes entered align with CPT guidelines.
• Check ICD/CPT against Coding guidelines and exclusions.
• Ensure approved services match rendered services.
• Ensure all requested investigations are completed and invoiced.
• Verify payer's name, rate plan and plan name for claims.
• Submit all claims to the insurance company.

Job Description / Role:

Responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and assigning standardized medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments for billing, insurance claims, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow the mandatory SOP, checklist and relevant payer and coding guidelines.
• Checking demographic details of patient and make sure the front desk should select the proper regulatory policy (DHPO or RIAYATI)
• Proper documentations are entered in the Chart/ EMR/ Claim form by the doctors.
• Supporting details/ justification available in EMR of all investigation done.
• Checking all CPT codes entered are correct based on CPT guidelines.
• Checking excluded ICD and CPT based on Coding guidelines.
• Approved services and rendered services are match.
• Ensuring all requested investigations are done and invoiced.
• Check the claim with correct Receiver and Payer name before finalizing the bill.
• Check the claim with correct Patient Copay application.
• Ensure all claims are submitted to insurance company.
• Check the payer's name, rate plan and plan name selected properly.

Education Qualifications:
