Job summary

Egis seeks an experienced Senior Structural Engineer - Site to lead on-site structural activities for a major building project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will supervise civil and structural work, ensure compliance with designs and codes, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve on-site challenges.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage testing programs, and maintain thorough project records while upholding safety and quality standards throughout construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years civil/structural experience with senior site supervision on large projects.
• Strong knowledge of ACI/BS/Eurocodes and UAE regulations.
• Experience in reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site structural and civil activities, ensuring designs meet codes.
• Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and testing for compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and authorities on design queries.
• Review drawings and construction methods prior to implementation.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and site teams.
• Maintain site safety protocols and project documentation.
