Job summary

Scan Tech General Trading L.L.C in Dubai is seeking a full‑time on‑site Accountant to manage day‑to‑day financials and ensure UAE VAT compliance. You will handle ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting while coordinating with auditors and management.

The role requires 2–5 years UAE accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong Excel skills. Fluency in English and attention to detail are essential for timely, accurate disclosures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
2–5 years of UAE accounting experience preferred.
Solid knowledge of accounting principles & financial reporting.
Working knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax requirements.
Experience with accounting software (Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Zoho Books) and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

Record and maintain daily accounting transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries).
Maintain general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare reconciliations for bank, supplier, customer and other accounts.
Process invoices, expense claims, payments and receipts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Assist with P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
Monitor overdue balances and assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
Assist with VAT calculations, VAT returns and UAE compliance.
Support external auditors and provide schedules as requested.
Maintain confidentiality and coordinate with banks, suppliers and departments.
