Qualifications

• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax requirements.
• Experience with accounting software (Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Zoho Books) and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily accounting transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries).
• Maintain general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare reconciliations for bank, supplier, customer and other accounts.
• Process invoices, expense claims, payments and receipts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Assist with P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Monitor overdue balances and assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
• Assist with VAT calculations, VAT returns and UAE compliance.
• Support external auditors and provide schedules as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality and coordinate with banks, suppliers and departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare bank, supplier, customer, and other account reconciliations.
• Process invoices, expense claims, payments, and receipts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with preparation of profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow reports.
• Monitor outstanding customer and supplier balances and follow up on overdue payments.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
• Assist with VAT calculations, VAT returns, and related documentation in accordance with UAE requirements.
• Support corporate tax compliance and provide financial information required for tax filings.
• Assist external auditors during annual audits and provide requested schedules and supporting documents.
• Ensure accounting transactions comply with company policies and applicable UAE regulations.
• Identify discrepancies, accounting errors, and unusual transactions and resolve them promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
• Coordinate with management, banks, suppliers, customers, auditors, and other departments when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Typically 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Experience with accounting software such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar systems.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting tasks.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• UAE experience is an advantage.
