MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure effective and efficient pharmacy services including safety compounding and dispensing of chemotherapy that complies with all relevant professional patient safety and regulatory requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Coordinate orders and prescriptions for chemotherapy and supportive medications

Ensure adequate and optimal supply of medications with a focus on safety and efficient use of medication

Monitor and manage optimal chemotherapy drug dosing procedures

Provide relevant clinical services and support to cancer patients and internal professionals including educational services where required

Ensure accurate and safe labellingpreparation and documentationof oncology medications according to professional standards and regulatory requirements

Ensure compliance and proper implementation of policies related to proper handling of cytotoxic agents

Ensure adequate collaboration with the multidisciplinary teams in planning and developing oncology programmes

Ensure compliance and proper input into oncology drug and treatment quality and patient safety programmes

REQUIRED EDUCATION

A B. Pharm degree from an accredited institution and licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist with the relevant UAE healthcare authority

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years experience as a qualified Pharmacist in a Hospital setting of which at least 2 years includes compounding experience
