Job summary

AECOM is seeking a structured and analytical Structural Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this site supervision role, you will conduct comprehensive structural inspections, ensure adherence to building codes, and document defects with precision to support project quality and safety.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of structural inspection experience, strong knowledge of UAE engineering standards, and the ability to interpret drawings and measurements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in structural inspection, site supervision or quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, structural engineering principles and UAE safety regulations.
• Proficiency in analyzing structural defects and identifying non-conformities.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Physical capability to conduct site inspections in construction environments.
• Preferred: experience on large-scale Middle East projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough structural inspections of buildings and sites, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
• Supervise on-site activities and monitor construction progress against design requirements.
• Document inspection findings, defects and non-conformities with reports and photos.
• Analyze components for quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Identify issues and recommend corrective actions to PM and engineers.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors to resolve concerns.
• Maintain organized inspection records and project databases.
• Perform site measurements using specialized equipment.
• Communicate results clearly to stakeholders; stay updated on codes and industry standards.
