Job summary

Casa Tera on-site in Dubai seeks a Structural Supervisor to oversee all structural construction activities, review drawings, and coordinate with Survey and MEP engineers to ensure alignment with specifications and codes.

Responsibilities include inspecting reinforcement and formwork, submitting IRs, supervising concrete works, and maintaining quality records while upholding HSE requirements and project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all structural construction activities, including excavation, foundations, raft slabs, retaining walls, columns, beams, slabs, shear walls, staircases, and structural steel works.
• Review and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and project specifications before execution.
• Coordinate with the Survey Engineer to verify setting‑out coordinates, grid lines, and structural levels.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork, embedded items, inserts, and block‑outs before concrete casting.
• Ensure all structural works comply with the approved drawings, method statements, project specifications, and relevant building codes.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) for reinforcement, formwork, and concrete works, and coordinate inspections with the Consultant.
• Supervise concrete casting operations, including pre‑pour inspections, concrete placement, vibration, finishing, and curing.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure structural activities are completed according to the approved baseline program.
• Coordinate with MEP Engineers to ensure all sleeves, openings, embedded conduits, and inserts are installed prior to concrete casting.
• Identify and resolve structural construction issues and coordinate with the Structural Design Consultant when design clarification is required.
• Verify quantities of structural works for progress reporting and subcontractor payment certifications.
• Monitor concrete quality, material testing, and inspection records, ensuring compliance with quality control procedures.
• Ensure the safe execution of structural works in accordance with approved Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Maintain site records, including daily reports, inspection records, RFIs, NCRs, material approvals, and as‑built documentation.
• Attend coordination meetings with the Client, Consultant, subcontractors, and the Project Management Team to discuss structural progress and technical issues.
