Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Inspector for its Abu Dhabi project team. You will ensure quality, safety, and compliance of civil construction, working with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to monitor activities, verify drawings, and maintain rigorous documentation.

Your eye for detail and proactive approach will help resolve site issues and support transparent project execution. The role involves coordinating with Resident Engineers, reviewing IRs and shop drawings, and supporting handover

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in civil inspection for infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of roads, earthworks, pavements, concrete works, drainage structures, and associated civil works.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Solid understanding of inspection procedures, field testing methodologies, and quality documentation practices.
• Minimum 5 years of experience requiered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor civil and infrastructure works to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections of excavation, backfilling, compaction, subgrade, subbase, road base, and asphalt works with detailed records.
• Monitor concrete works including reinforcement, formwork, concrete placement, curing, and finishing.
• Inspect drainage structures for proper construction and functionality.
• Coordinate with surveyors to verify setting-out, levels, and as‑built information.
• Witness and monitor field and laboratory testing, including compaction, concrete, and asphalt testing.
