Job summary
AtkinsRéalis in Abu Dhabi seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer – Cables to lead underground cable projects, supervise trenching, duct banks, cable laying, and QA/QC under HSE standards. You will coordinate contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, review method statements, and support testing and handover.
Applicants should have a Civil Eng degree and 10+ years in infrastructure or utility projects with HV cable experience; GCC/UAE regulations knowledge is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
- 10+ years in infrastructure or utility projects with underground cable experience.
- Proven experience managing high-voltage cable projects and supervising teams.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, QA/QC and HSE regulations.
- Familiarity with GCC/UAE regulations is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise underground cable construction including trenching and duct banks.
- Ensure works conform to drawings, specs, project standards, QA/QC and HSE.
- Monitor contractor performance, progress and compliance with safety requirements.
- Review method statements, shop drawings and material submittals.
- Coordinate with electrical and other disciplines and support testing/handovers.
