Job summary

ADNOC Group is seeking an Oil Spill Response Technician - Hazmat Operations in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The role supports emergency preparedness, pollution control and hazardous material response to protect people, assets and the environment.

You will assist with oil spill containment, equipment deployment, waste management compliance and operational readiness in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Certificate or equivalent educational qualification.
• Vocational trade certificate in a relevant technical or operational field.
• 0-3 years of experience in crisis response, emergency operations, environmental response or a related area.

Responsibilities

• Deploy anti-pollution and oil spill response equipment in accordance with procedures and supervisor instructions.
• Operate oil dispersant spraying equipment and handle approved response chemicals where required.
• Assist with containment and recovery measures during oil spill and pollution-control operations.
• Select suitable oil spill response equipment based on incident requirements and direction.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections using manufacturer specs, checklists and SOPs.
• Ensure emergency response equipment is serviceable and ready for immediate use.
• Follow site waste management procedures and support compliance with environmental obligations.
• Handle contaminated materials and operational waste per approved disposal practices.
• Support Hazmat and crisis response activities while observing site safety requirements.
• Report equipment defects or shortages to the supervisor.
• Maintain response tools and PPE in good working order.
• Participate in drills and preparedness activities to improve response effectiveness.
