Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Abu Dhabi seeks a Lead Technical Safety Engineer (Offshore) to oversee all process safety activities for onshore and offshore oil & gas developments across the full project lifecycle.

You will lead the discipline, coordinate with engineering teams, and ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective safety solutions while maintaining compliance with client requirements and international standards. The role requires extensive experience, leadership, and the ability to manage complex safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 17+ years of TSE experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, or Energy sectors.
• Experience delivering offshore and onshore brownfield and greenfield projects.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC requirements and international codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety engineering activities across full project lifecycle (Concept, FEED, Detailed Engineering).
• Act as technical authority and lead multidisciplinary coordination.
• Conduct and lead workshops (PHA, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL & LOPA) and follow up on findings.
• Review third party safety studies including QRA, FERA, F&G mapping.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure applicable procedures and standards are applied.
