Job summary

Black & Grey HR is seeking a Planning Engineer to join our client's Project Controls team in Abu Dhabi on a permanent basis. You will develop, monitor, and update project schedules to ensure timely delivery on offshore projects, coordinating with Project Controls, Managers, and Engineers.

The role requires 4–5 years of offshore or Oil & Gas planning experience, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and familiarity with Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
• 4–5 years of offshore or Oil & Gas planning experience is mandatory.
• PMP or PMI-SP certification is an added advantage.
• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software.
• Monitor progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance.
• Identify deviations from baseline schedule and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers and stakeholders for scheduling data.
• Facilitate communication across teams to align timelines and milestones.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and planning issues.
• Analyze schedules to identify delays, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and present schedule reports to management with highlights and recommendations.
• Maintain scheduling records and project documentation.
• Support the Project Controls Manager with planning and reporting.
• Ensure schedules align with objectives and milestones.
• Provide timely scheduling information for decision-making.
