Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking a Pipeline Welding Supervisor to oversee offshore/onshore welding operations, ensuring weld integrity and compliance with project specs, WPS and procedures. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interface with Marine, Quality, NDT, Coating, and equipment leads to meet safety, quality and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in pipeline welding, offshore experience preferred.
• Experience with automatic or semi-automatic welding machines.
• Ability to read drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).

Responsibilities

• Supervise pipeline welding activities at firing line/on-site construction stations.
• Coordinate with Field/Production Engineer, QC, NDT and other leads to ensure timely clearance.
• Ensure welding readiness: procedures, stations, welders, consumables and spares.
• Review planned cycle times and guide personnel to resolve issues.
• Participate in kick-off, readiness reviews and lessons learned during project setup.
• Maintain welding records, downtime, welder certifications and equipment usage.
• Ensure MDR HSE compliance and conduct safety/quality toolbox talks.
