Job summary

Moorfields Eye Hospital Abu Dhabi is seeking a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialized in Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery to lead expert care for eyelids, lacrimal system and orbit. The role includes complex tertiary cases, teaching, and service development within a multidisciplinary team.

You will contribute to governance, safety, and patient experience while maintaining high clinical standards and ensuring smooth service delivery.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognised institution.
• Completed accredited specialist training in Ophthalmology.
• Fellowship or equivalent recognised qualification in Ophthalmology.
• Eligibility for DOH/HAAD consultant licensure in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment and management of oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital conditions.
• Lead surgical and periocular procedures including eyelid and lacrimal surgeries.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audits, teaching, and service development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Supervise and support junior doctors, nurses, and allied staff.
