Job summary

American Hospital Dubai seeks a seasoned nursing leader to oversee manpower and resources, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. The role involves coordinating transfers, responding to administrative issues, and acting as Hospital Administrator when required.

Candidates should have a nursing degree with RN registration and be proficient in DHA policies, infection control, and emergency response. A strong background in leadership and team coordination is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in nursing (minimum of three years full-time).
• Nursing degree and RN registration from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand or Australia.
• Valid home country license/registration to practice nursing (where applicable).
• BLS certification at minimum; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required during probation.
• Knowledge of DHA policies and frameworks; infection control and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversees manpower and resources to deliver high‑quality nursing care and patient safety.
• Responds to administrative problems and refers to Administrator on call if needed.
• Coordinates transfers and documentation for patient movements, including international cases.
• Acts as Bed Coordinator and participates in hospital and nursing committees.
• Maintains clinical competency and supports direct patient and family care; responds to emergencies.
