Job summary

Leading Private hospital in the UAE is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations, clinical standards, and day-to-day services within a hospital or designated department. The role requires a strong nursing leader with proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and upholding high standards of patient care.

Applicants should have a Bachelor of Nursing, a Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Management, valid registration, and a track record in hospital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred.
• Postgraduate nursing qualification or equivalent Western qualification.
• Valid professional nursing registration in the country of practice.
• Significant post-qualification leadership experience.
• Proven Nurse Manager or senior nursing leadership track record.
• Experience in hospital-based nursing operations and teams.
• Knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement, patient safety, accreditation.
• Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage a diverse nursing workforce in a fast-paced hospital.
• Commitment to professional nursing standards and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage nursing teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care.
• Oversee daily nursing operations, staffing, and scheduling.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
• Monitor nursing quality indicators, patient outcomes, and compliance with clinical standards.
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies.
• Conduct performance reviews and support professional development of nursing staff.
• Mentor, coach, and develop nurse leaders and clinical nursing teams.
• Coordinate with physicians, allied health professionals, and hospital leadership.
• Manage staffing requirements and support recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
• Address clinical and operational issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement projects, accreditation activities, and clinical governance.
• Monitor nursing resources, equipment, and departmental requirements.
• Promote evidence-based nursing practice and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and review nursing reports, performance metrics, and operational updates for management.
