Job summary

Edge Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure for classified and restricted environments. You will harden networks, configure firewalls and VPNs, and ensure compliance with security policies.

The role emphasizes threat monitoring, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and working within air-gapped environments. Candidates with NIST/STIGs knowledge and appropriate security certifications are preferred, with

Qualifications

• Knowledge of STIGs, NIST SP 800-53 and CIS Benchmarks applied to network devices and OS.
• Strong TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, 802.1Q, firewalling, VPNs, and segmentation.
• Experience with network security monitoring, SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Understanding of classified information security, air-gapped environments, least privilege, and need-to-know principles.
• Knowledge of PKI, TLS, IPsec, and secure communications.
• Experience with hardening standards and secure configurations.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure network architectures for classified environments.
• Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, secure gateways, routers and switches.
• Implement segmentation, access controls, and secure information flow.
• Support air-gapped and restricted networks and controlled interfaces.
• Monitor traffic and security events; support incident detection and response.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation; maintain security baselines.
• Support audits, accreditation activities, and compliance assessments.
• Apply secure administration and cryptographic controls.
