EDGE is seeking a Network Security Engineer to design, implement and maintain secure network infrastructure for classified environments. You will ensure security, segmentation, monitoring and policy compliance across the network landscape.

Responsibilities include configuring firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, conducting vulnerability assessments, and supporting audits and accreditation activities. Prior experience in defense or highly regulated settings is preferred.

Formación

• Working knowledge of STIGs, NIST SP 800-53, and CIS Benchmarks with practical hardening experience.
• Strong TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, 802.1q, firewalling and VPNs knowledge.
• Experience with network security monitoring, SIEM, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Understanding of classified information security concepts and least privilege principles.
• Knowledge of PKI, TLS, IPsec and secure communications.
• Experience with security standards and configuration hardening.
• Relevant degree and/or certifications such as CCNP, CISSP or GIAC.
• Experience in defense, government, or highly regulated environments preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain secure network architectures for classified environments.
• Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, secure gateways, routers and switches.
• Implement network segmentation, access controls and secure information-flow mechanisms.
• Support air-gapped and restricted networks and controlled interfaces.
• Monitor traffic and security events; support incident detection and response.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security remediation.
• Maintain secure configurations, diagrams, documentation and baselines.
• Support audits, accreditation activities and compliance assessments.
• Apply secure administration, privileged-access and cryptographic controls.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware cryptographic controls.
• Ensure classified network equipment is securely operated and decommissioned.
