Job summary

Leading Organization Abu Dhabi is seeking a Network Security Engineer for a 6-month contract in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Joining ASAP, you will secure network infrastructure, respond to incidents, and coordinate with IT and security teams.

The role requires hands-on NGFW experience (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA), SIEM usage, vulnerability management, cloud security, and a completed CompTIA Security or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of network security experience.
• Hands-on with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA or equivalent.
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Rapid7, LogRhythm or QRadar.
• Experience with IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, NAC and EDR.
• Vulnerability management using Rapid7 Nessus or equivalent.
• Cloud security across Azure, AWS or Oracle Cloud.
• Security monitoring in SOC environments; incident response ability.
• DNS, email and web security knowledge; scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Completed CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification is required; other certifications valued.
• Security certifications in progress will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network security infrastructure including firewalls, SIEM, IPS/IDS, WAF, DLP and endpoint security.
• Analyze network traffic and security logs to identify threats and incidents.
• Configure and maintain NGFWs such as Palo Alto, Fortinet and Cisco ASA.
• Support firewall rules, NAC, and network access controls.
• Respond to security incidents, document investigations and escalations.
• Support vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking and reporting.
• Monitor cloud security in Azure, AWS and Oracle Cloud environments.
• Maintain security documentation, incident records and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with Network Ops, IT, Incident Response and external vendors.
• Ensure compliance with GCAA, EASA, ICAO and ISO 27001 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network security infrastructure including firewalls SIEM IPS IDS WAF DLP and endpoint security solutions
• Analyse network traffic security logs and alerts to identify threats anomalies and potential security incidents
• Configure troubleshoot and maintain Next-Generation Firewalls NGFW such as Palo Alto Cisco ASA and Fortinet
• Support firewall rules access controls and Network Access Control NAC
• Monitor and respond to security incidents including investigation escalation and documentation
• Support vulnerability scanning assessment remediation tracking and reporting
• Monitor security across Azure AWS and Oracle Cloud environments
• Support DNS email web and DDoS security monitoring and threat mitigation
• Perform security system updates patching and maintenance
• Maintain security documentation incident records configurations and compliance reports
• Collaborate with Network Operations IT Incident Response teams and external security vendors
• Support compliance with GCAA EASA ICAO and ISO 27001 requirements

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of network security experience
• Hands-on experience with firewalls Palo Alto Fortinet Cisco ASA or equivalent
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Rapid7 LogRhythm QRadar or equivalent
• Experience with IDS IPS WAF DLP NAC and EDR
• Vulnerability management experience using tools such as Rapid7 Nessus
• Experience with Azure AWS or Oracle Cloud security
• Strong incident response and network traffic analysis experience
• Knowledge of DNS email and web security
• Experience with security monitoring SOC environments
• MUST HAVE a completed CompTIA Security or equivalent recognized cybersecurity network security certification
• Accepted equivalent certifications include CEH CCNA Security Fortinet NSE 4 Palo Alto PCNSE or equivalent
• Certifications in progress will NOT be considered
• Aviation industry experience is an advantage
• Scripting knowledge in PowerShell Bash or Python
• Education Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security or a related discipline
• Ideal Candidate Hands-on network security professionals with 3+ years of relevant experience, mandatory completed security certification, and strong experience in firewalls, SIEM, vulnerability management, security monitoring and incident response .
