Job summary

R&B Fashion in Dubai seeks an experienced facilities technician to maintain and troubleshoot complex building systems. You will support electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing setups, aiming to minimize downtime and ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires hands-on diagnostic skills, strong teamwork, and the ability to read technical drawings and manuals. A Diploma/ITI in a technical field and 1–5 years FM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ITI, or Certificate in Electro-Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 1-5 years of experience in Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, or Technical Services environments.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, electrical controls, booster and transfer pump control panels, and plumbing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis capabilities across multiple technical disciplines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Good knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, testing instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong awareness of workplace health, safety, and maintenance compliance requirements.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting and work order management.
• Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Operations & Technical Support: Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and related facility systems.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with schedules and standards.
• Diagnose equipment faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, service requests, and emergency maintenance requirements.
• Support equipment installation, testing, commissioning, relocation, and modification activities.
• Equipment Reliability & Operational Efficiency: Conduct routine inspections, site rounds, and condition monitoring to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures before they impact operations.
• Recommend improvements and corrective measures to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Minimize downtime through timely maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
• Coordinate with technicians, contractors, and operational teams to complete maintenance work efficiently.
• Safety, Compliance & Asset Care: Follow approved maintenance procedures, permit-to-work requirements, health and safety standards, and company policies at all times.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, spare parts, and work areas in a safe, organized, and serviceable condition.
• Report unsafe conditions, hazards, incidents, and equipment abnormalities promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment across all assigned areas.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, fault reports, and material usage. Update work orders, maintenance logs, and asset records as required.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians when required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing maintenance effectiveness and operational performance.
• Contribute to the achievement of maintenance, reliability, and operational KPIs.
