Job summary

Bureau Veritas do Brasil is seeking an NDT Level II inspector to perform UT, MT and PT testing in accordance with project procedures. The role requires following safety standards and contributing to accurate reporting at field sites.

The ideal candidate has PCN Level II in RTFI with minimum 3 years post-certification experience, and will work with radiographic testing and densitometer calibrations while upholding quality and safety across assignments.

Qualifications

• PCN Level II in RTFI with minimum 3 years of post-certification experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, and radiographic testing standards.
• Willingness to work at field sites and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform UT, MT and PT tests in accordance with approved procedures.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping at all sites.
• Prepare final test reports per project formats.
• Assist with calibration and verification of equipment.
• Shall verify joint details and assess indications per acceptance criteria.

Minimum Roles and Responsibilities but not limited to will be as follows.

• 1. To take all precautions to protect the environment.
• 2. Work in such manner as to ensure self-safety as well as that of co-worker's safety in well covered with.

• 4. Shall participate in the daily toolbox talks and follow the instruction from the site coordinators/crew leaders.
• 5. Use and maintain all safety devices provided for executions of job as delegated.
• 6. Maintain and properly use all tools under their control & to use right tools for the Job.
• 7. Report for work in clothing suitable for work, and in such a manner that clothes, and jewelry worn will not constitute a hazard.
• 8. Perform the work in a safe and alert manner and be aware of the possibility of unseen dangers or situations.
• 9. Are not expected to sacrifice their own or other’s Safety to perform their duties.
• 10. Keep clean work Area & maintain Housekeeping.
• 11. Perform Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing using liase with approved procedural requirements.
• 12. Shall be able to perform Hardness Testing, PMI and Ferrite upon receiving the equipment familiarization training and training on Procedural/Code requirements.
• 13. Able to identify the technique used is as per the requirement.
• 14. Able to perform necessary calibrations and demonstrations as per the project specific approved procedures.
• 15. Shall verify the joint details as per the request provided by client.
• 16. Shall be able to classify the indications that are from actual discontinuities, weld geometry.
• 17. Able to interpret the specific code requirements related to applicable NDT method UT, MT and PT.
• 18. Able to interpret the sensitivity requirements and evaluate the indications as per the acceptance criteria.
• 19. Prepare final UT, MT and PT reports as per the approved report formats.
• 20. Shall maintain the equipment along with accessories by regular cleaning and to be kept safe after the completion of activity.
• 21. Shall maintain the necessary calibration certificates on file and to notify the office on expiry of the same priorly.
• 20. Able to perform the inspection activities as per project scope and site condition to avoid waiting & wastage of resources.

Accountabilities:

• 1. Shall be able to Perform film interpretation of Piping and Pipeline welds as per ASME B31.3 and API 1104 and ASME Sec V.
• 2. Able to perform required densitometer calibrations and demonstrations as per the project specific approved procedures.
• 3. Prepare final radiographic examination reports as per the approved report formats.

4. Shall submit the timesheets on time and revert the approved timesheets to the office on time as per the management guidelines.
