Job summary

KOREAN TECHNO INSPECTION MIDDLE EAST Co. LLC is seeking an experienced PCN Multi Technician for our Abu Dhabi site.

The role focuses on advanced NDT including UT weld scanning, PMI, hardness and ferrite testing, with emphasis on accurate reporting and client compliance. The successful candidate will demonstrate PCN Level II UT certification (3.1–3.9), ASNT Level II, and a minimum of eight years’ NDT/inspection experience in Oil & Gas or related industries.

Qualifications

• PCN Level II certification in UT (3.1–3.9) is mandatory.
• ASNT Level II certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years of NDT/inspection experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery or related industries.
• Minimum 4+ years of post-certification experience after obtaining the required PCN qualification.

Responsibilities

• Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) weld scanning in accordance with procedures and standards.
• Conduct UT examinations using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Carry out PMI testing and verify material composition against project requirements.
• Perform hardness testing on welds, base materials and components.
• Conduct ferrite testing on welds and stainless alloys as required.
• Verify equipment calibration and ensure inspection equipment is fit for use.
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results according to procedures and codes.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure traceability of results.
• Prepare clear inspection/test reports and documentation.
• Identify and report non-conformities to QA/QC or inspection personnel.
• Coordinate with client representatives and inspection teams on site.
• Follow HSE requirements and client specifications; ensure NDT activities meet procedures and certification requirements.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced PCN Multi Technician to join our site-based team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out advanced NDT and inspection activities, including UT weld scanning, PMI, hardness testing and ferrite testing, while ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with project and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) weld scanning in accordance with approved procedures and applicable standards
• Conduct UT examinations using appropriate techniques and equipment
• Carry out Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing and verify material composition against project requirements
• Perform Hardness Testing on welds, base materials and other applicable components
• Conduct Ferrite Testing on welds and stainless alloy materials as required
• Verify equipment calibration and ensure inspection equipment is fit for use
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results in accordance with approved procedures and applicable codes and standards
• Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure full traceability of inspection results
• Prepare clear and comprehensive inspection reports, test reports and documentation
• Identify and report any non-conformities or discrepancies to the responsible QA QC or inspection personnel
• Coordinate with client representatives, QA QC teams, construction teams and other inspection personnel
• Follow all applicable HSE requirements, company procedures and client specifications
• Ensure all NDT activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures and relevant certification requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

• PCN Level II certification in UT – 3.1 to 3.9 is mandatory.
• ASNT Level II certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant NDT/inspection experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery or related industries.
• Minimum 4+ years of post-certification experience after obtaining the required PCN qualification.
• Proven hands‑on experience in: UT Weld Scanning, Positive Material Identification (PMI), Hardness Testing, Ferrite Testing.
• Strong knowledge of inspection reporting and documentation.
• Good understanding of applicable NDT procedures, codes, standards and client specifications.
• Ability to work independently in a site‑based environment.
• Availability: Immediate availability is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery project experience.
• UAE/GCC site experience will be an advantage.
• Experience working with major Oil & Gas operators or EPC contractors.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inspection quality.
