Simone's Tutoring in Dubai seeks a qualified Montessori Specialist Tutor for Primary (Ages 6–12). The role delivers child-centered, Montessori-based lessons online, at home, or in schools, with sensitivity to individual pace and cultural diversity.

You will assess development, create personalized plans, and guide both one-to-one and small groups, applying hands-on materials, Great Lessons, and interdisciplinary learning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Primary Education, Child Development, Psychology, Montessori Education, or a related field
  • Recognised Montessori Elementary qualification for ages 6–12, Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, or equivalent
  • MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching or tutoring primary-aged children

Responsibilities

  • Introduce cultural studies, including geography, history, science, biology, and social understanding
  • Deliver the Montessori Great Lessons and connected follow-up activities where appropriately trained
  • Encourage independent research, project work, classification, experimentation, and interdisciplinary learning

Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Montessori Specialist Tutor - Primary (Ages 6–12)to support children during the Montessori Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary stages.

The successful candidate will deliver child-centred, developmentally appropriate lessons that promote independence, concentration, curiosity, responsibility, creativity, and a deep understanding of academic concepts. Instruction should reflect Montessori principles, including hands-on learning, purposeful activity, freedom within structure, mixed-subject integration, self-correction, and respect for the child’s individual pace of development.

The tutor may support homeschooled learners, children attending Montessori schools, students transitioning between Montessori and mainstream curricula, and families seeking a more practical, holistic approach to primary education.

Key Responsibilities

Observe and assess each child’s academic development, interests, learning preferences, independence, and readiness

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

AMI, AMS, MACTE-accredited, NAMC, or equivalent recognised Montessori elementary credential

PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, or recognised primary teaching qualification

Experience teaching both Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary learners

Experience in an accredited Montessori school

Experience delivering the Montessori Great Lessons

Knowledge of British, American, IB, Cambridge, or UAE primary curricula

Experience supporting home-educated children or students transitioning between Montessori and mainstream education

Training in special educational needs, gifted education, positive behaviour support, or child safeguarding

UAE Licensing Requirements

Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

Applicants must provide Montessori instruction only within the scope of their verified qualifications and must not represent tutoring services as an accredited Montessori school programme unless separately authorised.
